Rules & Regulations

Glow rules & regulations are essential for protection of Glow, its function and members. Violation of rules and regulations may be subjected to:
-Verbal warning by any board member
-Loss of membership

2. Be Kind and Courteous:

We’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

3. No Hate Speech or Bullying:

Bullying of any kind, degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated. Treating any Glow member in an unprofessional/disrespectful way at events & otherwise will not be accepted will & result in your removal from the group.

4. No Promotions or Spam:

Give more than you take to this group. Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren’t allowed. Joining the group and using it to privately message members you do not know using Facebook messenger for business promotion or self-promotion is banned. Posts will be shared based on the discretion of the board.

5. Respect Everyone’s Privacy:

To have an authentic connection, mutual trust is essential especially when conversations at events where it may also be sensitive and private. What’s shared in the group should stay in the group. Do not join to add members as your“friend”on FB when you have never met in person. Reports of this behavior will result in your removal.

6. Cancellation and Reservations for Events:

Each event will be marked with category regarding cancellations and confirmation of seats.

Flexible: Cancellation a minimum of two days prior to the business event, authentic talks, social party is acceptable if you had informed at least one if the board members.

Moderate: In a case of emergency, cancellation on a day of the event, authentic talk and social event for one time is acceptable, if at least one of the board members had been informed.

Strict: Reservation is non-refundable in any case.

Please Note: If the cancellation for any reason happens more than three times for events without giving prior notice, or five times with notice, there will be consequences including not confirming participation for future events. As nearly every event has a wait list, we want to ensure those that want to attend, do not lose their opportunity to someone that does not show repeatedly.

If participation has been confirmed and reconfirmed the day before, but the participant is a “no show” the person is still required to pay 50% of the event fee. Any cases where fee deposits are made in advance of an event, the fee would become non-refundable for “no shows” and 50% refundable for those that inform at least 24 hours in advance.
